The LYNX Web Application connects to your LYNX database giving
you complete access to all your project images using a web browser. There are two types of Web Application users and projects:
Standard Web App User:
These users can view, search, print, save, and create hyperlinks to images and projects. These users are "view only" users. There is no cost for any of these users and there is no limit to the number of projects you can make available to them. (Note: you set up users and groups in your LYNX Master license. This gives you the flexibility to control which users see what projects, and also which features are available.)
Authorized Web App User:
These users, in addition to all the above features, can upload images to the database using the QuickAcquire tool, they can annotate & edit images with captions, notes, permanent description user-defined search fields, etc. all online using a web browser.
Standard Web App Project:
These projects are the ones already in your LYNX database and all of them are accessible from the LYNX Web Application at no charge.
Authorized Web App Project:
When you purchase a LYNX Remote License it gives you a authorized LYNX Web Application Project. This allows you to select a project and allow users to upload images to it using the QuickAcquire tool, and allows for annotating and editing images in this project from a web browser.
